What you need to know

Our WHOLE GRAIN flour is made from premium quality ORGANIC Canadian grains. Since 1988 we have been milling flour in our unique low temperature impact mill. Our flour products are high in fibre, vitamins and minerals with no cholesterol or trans fats.

All the nutritious bran and germ from the WHOLE GRAIN kernel are included in our flour products. When refined, roller-milled flour is processed, up to 80% of the essential vitamins and minerals are removed and/or destroyed. We believe that food is at its nutritional peak when it is fresh and minimally processed.

Reading labels for flour can be confusing. In Canada packaging may say one thing, in the USA another. What’s most important is that you look for the key word “WHOLE GRAIN Flour”. If a product lists just “whole wheat flour” in the ingredients list – is it essentially a refined white flour product with some of the bran added back in, possibly along with chemical conditioners and enhancers.

Our flour has NO additives, NO preservatives and we do NOT blend lower quality grains together when milling our flour.

Storing our Flour

Keep flour in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place. Our flour can be kept in the refrigerator or freezer for optimum freshness. Be sure to wrap it tightly to seal out any moisture. Most important though – bring flour to room temperature before using it.
